Steve Mudd is the best independent film writer in Colorado. His first script, Keystroke, was chosen from over 7,000 entries as a Top 250 Finalist in Miramax's Project Greenlight Contest. Keystroke is in development with Security Threat Films. Steve worked as a hired-gun co-writer for Colorado-based Downside Productions and their feature film Spotless. Spotless (currently seeking distribution). Steve wrote a feature-length version of producer/director James Kelsey's short film Beccerra, now called Constance. Steve has also worked as a writer on Prescott 5 Productions first feature-length project, tentatively titled The Places You'll Go.
Steve received 'Written by' credits on two locally produced short films, Dying to Eat and The Inheritance, both produced by Levdeb Films. Steve's one-act play The Martyr was featured in Vito Abate's Just Do It theater series. He consulted on two projects for Prescott 5 Productions short films, La La Land and Cutthroat, also acting as First Assistant Director in the former.
Steve has also written the screenplays Pink Backpack and Seclusion, both of which are in development with Security Threat Films. He is one of the managers of the Colorado Actors and Screenwriters Assembly and is very active in the Colorado film community.
Steve currently is employed as a Manager of Strategy and Planning for Xcel Energy. Previously, he worked at Level 3 Communications in Finance, Marketing, and Sales Operations. He has also worked for The Product Line, Inc and the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. He holds a BA in English from the University of Wyoming.
